We are retired and live on a fixed income and suffer from diabetes, blood clots, and high cholesterol. We purchase our highest cost medications (major brands) through DMD. I did a 2021 cost comparison of our Canadian medications with those sold in the US and calculated annual savings of $22,574 (US) for our four medications alone. I ran out of my diabetes medication earlier this month and bought 15 pills from our US pharmacy for $279 dollars ($18.60 per pill with insurance) as compared to DMD’s $0.76 per pill without insurance (a 24X difference!). The pharmacist insisted my Canadian sourced pills should not be trusted although both were made by the same major US pharmaceutical sealed in an identical package, and with an identical pill shape, color, and pill identification stamp. Both were processed in the same overseas facility. We have been a satisfied customer of DMD for many years and found them to be competent, trustworthy, and extremely responsive to our needs.
